High School Seniors Earn Eagle Rank
Boy Scout Troop 457 is pleased to announce nine seniors from Rockville, Blake, Sherwood, and Good Counsel high schools have earned the rank of Eagle Scout and will be formally recognized at a May 2, 2021 ceremony. Mentored by Scoutmaster Brett Surprenant and Assistant Scoutmasters Kala Suprenant, Todd Kushner and Peter Wolk, these nine scouts have devoted a combined total of 1,096 service hours to the community. They organized and conducted individual Eagle Rank service projects to benefit Blake High School, The Montgomery County Agricultural Farm Park, St. Patrick’s Elementary School, Olney Elementary School, White Oak District Police Station, Montgomery County Public Schools Environmental Education Center, Oakdale Emory United Methodist Church, and the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club. As a group, these scouts over the last seven years have camped 637 nights and hiked 1,041 miles. Congratulations Eagle Scouts! We look forward to your success in your next challenge.
