A few weekends ago, 20+ scouts went to Bohrer Park to help guard and maintain an arrangement of 750 flags dedicated to U.S soldiers. While remaining watchful over the flags, they went to a nearby water park and mini golf course during the day. Scouts took 2 hour shifts during the night, walking around the flags every 15 minutes. On Saturday morning, Troop 457 served as the honor guard at a speech given by the mayor about the flags, and on Sunday, we held a flag retirement ceremony to properly dispose of old flags that were given to us to retire.
