Date: June 12-14, 2009

Location: Gathland State Park, MD

Departure: Friday, June 12 – 4:45pm from St. Pat’s

Return: Sunday, June 14 1:00pm at St. Pat’s

Pack the usual gear including:

-Bring a bagged dinner for Friday night.
-Knife (if you are Tot n’ Chip qualified)
-Mess Kit
-Water bottle
-Sun screen & Bug Spray & Hat
-Sleeping bag & mat
-Clothes for both rainy/cool weather and sunny/warm weather (
shop all camping gear)

Special Notes:

-Bring bag dinner for Friday night
-The campsite is ¼ mile hike from the parking lot – use a backpack – if you have one, or pack appropriately
-Be prepared for seasonal variations in weather

Driving Instructions:

-Proceed west on 70, towards Frederick
-Merge onto US-340 W, via Exit 52, towards Charlestown, Leesburg
-Merge onot MD 17 N, toward Burkettsville
-Turn left on West Main Street, in the center of town
-W Main Street becomes Gapland Road
-Park in lot across street from stone arch
