What: Our annual “kick back and do nothing like work” trip! Two full days playing in the surf and sand on the guarded beach at Cape Henlopen just north of Rehoboth Beach. Trip includes Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk time on Friday night and visit to Jungle Jim’s Water Park in Rehoboth from 4-8 pm on Saturday.

Where: Cape Henlopen State Park Primitive Camping Area – showers available at beach bath house.


Travel:
- Meet at St. Patrick’s parking lot Thursday evening at 5:00 p.m
- Leave church at 5:30 pm – (We need adult drivers – please come!)
- Break camp at 9:30 am. Sunday morning
- Return to church Sunday around 1:30 pm

Cost: – $50/person Cost includes $20 admission to Jungle Jim’s Water Park. Payment due to Troop Treasurer by Thurs., July 2 – make check payable to Troop 457.

Bring: – Beach stuff – boogie board, goggles, beach toys, beach towel
- Toys – kites, frisbees, footballs, etc.
- Bag dinner or money for Thurs. night dinner (stop at McDonald’s)
- Extra money for snacks, other activities or souvenirs (if desired)
- Clothes, sneakers, rain gear, water shoes/sandals, BATHING SUIT!
- Personal items, shampoo/soap, medicines, bug spray, SUNSCREEN!
- Sleeping bag & pad, pillow, water bottle, 1 extra beach towel – don’t need mess kits

Activities: Beach time – swimming, boogie boarding, sand sculpting, tanning
- kite flying, frisbee, hiking the Henlopen marsh trails, looking for shells
- Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk – time on your own at the stores, snacks & arcades
- Jungle Jim’s Water Park – water slides, lazy river float, wave pool
- For $5 extra cost per activity at Jungle Jim’s – mini-golf, batting cages, bumper boats, rock climbing wall (these are open from 4-10 pm)
(Note – BSA Safety rules say Scouts cannot ride Jungle Jim’s Go-Karts – sorry!)
