Scouts and leaders to tour Harley Davidson Motorcycle Factory in York, PA and Utz Potato Chip factory in Hanover, PA on Monday November 2, 2009.

Monday 11/2/09 is a MCPS holiday – no school

Participants – minimum is 2 adult leaders and 6 Scouts; maximum is 20 people.

Cost: there is no charge to tour either factory. Scouts should bring lunch money for McDonalds and any spending money to purchase souvenirs at factory gift shops;

Itinerary:

Depart St. Patrick’s Church at 8am on Monday 11/2. Drive to HD factory in York, PA. Travel time is approximately 1 hour, 45 minutes.

One hour tour of HD factory begins at 10:15. Following tour there will be a 30 minute opportunity to visit the gift shop / restrooms.

Depart HD factory at Noon. Eat lunch at nearby McDonalds Restaurant.

Depart McDonalds at 12:45 pm and drive to Utz Potato Chip Factory, in Hanover, PA. Travel time is approximately 45 minutes.

Tour Utz factory from 1:45 to 2:30. Following the tour there will be a 15 minute opportunity to visit the gift shop / restrooms.

Depart Hanover at 3pm. Arrive back at St. Patrick’s church apx. 4:30pm.
