Spend Saturday whitewater rafting Class III and IV rapids on the Lower Youghiogheny River at Ohiopyle, PA. Trip is suitable for beginners and adventurers – expect to get wet! Camp at Ohiopyle State Park (with showers & bathrooms). Rafting trip cost is $98 – includes rafting, wetsuit rental & camping costs. Also, bring $5 for gas plus money for Sat. breakfast on the road.

Camping trip to Antietam National Battle eld in Sharpesburg, Maryland. Spend a weekend touring the Civil War battle field and learn all about the battle and the men who fought there in the fall of 1862.

DESTINATION:
Rohrbach Campground, Antietam National Battle eld,

WHEN:
Friday, November 20th to Sunday, November 22nd.
Leave from St. Patrick’s church parking lot Friday 5pm sharp, ruturn Sunday
11am. Bring bag dinner for Friday evening.
EQUIPMENT:
Warm sleeping bag, ground pad, ashlight, mess gear,
water bottle, towel & personal hygiene gear, extra warm
clothes, warm coat, gloves & hat, rain gear, camp chair and
hiking shoes or sneakers (2 pairs).
PRICE:
$25 per scout and per adult.
(price includes park entrance fee, camp site fee, propane and food)

- MD65 South to Sharpesburg.
- Drive straight to Burnside Bridge Rd. (cross over Main St.)
- LEFT into Rohrbach Campground parking lot.

Next Saturday, November 14 is the donation pick up and delivery date. Please go around your neighborhood and collect your donations. Take them to either the Ortiz home by noon or directly to Sharp Street Methodist Church in Sandy Spring, off 108, just across the street from Sherwood Elementary School between noon and 1 pm.

Donations can also be brought into the troop meeting on Thursday night.

Finally, donations can also be delivered to the Safeway in Olney up to 3 pm. on November 14.  Let them know you are from Troop 457.

SSL hours will be given for all the time spent on this very important project.
