Trip Info:

Date: Friday April 24^th through Sunday April 26th

Arrive at St. Patrick’s at 4:30pm!      Leave at 5:00pm sharp!

Return to St Patrick’s at 2:00pm approximately on April 26th

This trip is required for all scouts that have not done the week long trip before!

Bring bag Dinner for Friday night!

The purpose of this trip is to shakedown, workout any issues that may arise during the week long trip. Expose those scouts to what they will encounter during the week long trip.

Gear: Bike, panniers, rack, helmet, bell, are required, water bottles, personal first aid kit, repair kit, two extra inner tubs, air pump. Pack cloths for two days, jacket, and personal hygiene kit, towel, flash light, sleeping bag, pad, and a compact fishing rod if you have one. Be prepared for inclement weather. Bring bag Dinner for Friday night. Pack everything into your panniers.

Directions! Take Route 97 Georgia Ave. north to Route 70 west. In Frederick merge onto Route 340 West/ 15 South. Take 340 West for approx. 12 miles and exit on Burkittsville Rd/ Route 17.  Turn left and follow Route 17 around first rotunda (Do not follow 180) and turn right at light (Petersville Rd) which is still Route 17. Continue to next rotunda and follow it around until A St (3^rd Road on circle). Follow A St and merge right onto S Maple St. Go through traffic light and across two sets of railroad tracks and down the hill to a dirt road (Tow Path) and turn left. Follow path to end and turn right into campground.
